Peter Psaltis named among Queensland’s most influential audio figures in power list

·

Queensland broadcaster Peter Psaltis has been included in a new ranking of the state’s most influential audio personalities, which highlights the growing power of sport-focused radio and podcasting alongside traditional breakfast and talk formats.

The 2026 list, which assesses ratings impact, audience connection, commercial reach and programming influence across radio and digital audio, places Psaltis at number 13.

Psaltis has built a career across multiple platforms, including work as a Nine commentator, hosting 4BC’s Wide World of Sports, and contributing Queensland sports coverage to the Continuous Call Team.

The list notes his presence across live radio, rugby league commentary, podcasting and broader Queensland sport media.

His inclusion reflects the continued strength of rugby league as a driver of radio audiences in Queensland, with the ranking noting his “clearly defined position” in NRL-focused audio coverage.

The list places Psaltis alongside a mix of breakfast radio hosts, station executives, digital creators and podcast entrepreneurs, underscoring how influence in the state’s audio market now extends beyond on-air ratings to include cross-platform reach, niche audiences and sports commentary authority.
