All Saints Grammar students raise money for people impacted by cancer

·

Student Leaders from All Saints Grammar School (ASG) in Sydney’s inner south-west have raised over $6,500 for the Cancer Council.

The funds were raised during a Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser held at the Primary and Secondary Campuses in Belmore on May 19.

On the day, students dressed in Mufti wearing blue or yellow, and gave a monetary donation to show their support of Cancer Council and raise vital funds for people impacted by cancer.

Businesses such as Independent Bread Distributor, Handy Foods, Sosobake, Cave Cookies, and Kamper and Associates, also supported the fundraiser by donating delicious treats on the day.

Head of School, Mrs Elfa Lillis, said the Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser “was a wonderful initiative led by our Primary and Secondary Student Leaders.”

“The charity was selected as we have many families who have been touched by this illness. I would like to acknowledge the entire community for supporting this important event,” Mrs Lillis added.

An estimated 145,000 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in Australia this year. The Cancer Council is the only charity that works across every area of cancer, from research to prevention and support.

If you would like to support ASG and the Council’s vital work, there’s still time to donate at: http://bit.ly/3sy0SzT.
