Pan-Laconian Association of NSW holds successful tavern night in Sydney

·

The Pan-Laconian Association of NSW “The Spartans” held a successful tavern night at the Ashbury Bowling Panarcadian Federation Club on June 4.

The tavern night was the first one to be held in two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Roughly 160 members and friends of the Association attended the event, which was held in a newly renovated area of the Club.

President of the Association, Mary Skalkos, welcomed attendees to the event and spoke about the need to speak the Greek language at home as much as possible to children and grandchildren.

It was also mentioned that there is strong cooperation between all Laconian associations in Australia in order to maintain the Spartan culture, customs and traditions for the younger generations.

The tavern night ended with lots of fun, mingling and dancing.
