SA Treasurer Tom Koutsantonis keeps position in cabinet reshuffle

·

South Australia’s re-elected premier, Peter Malinauskas, has announced a major cabinet reshuffle during a ceremony at Government House.

Despite the reshuffle, the role of Treasurer Tom Koutsantonis has remained largely unchanged.

Changes include Chris Picton replaced as Minister for Health and Wellbeing by former education minister Blair Boyer.

Former environment minister Lucy Hood has taken over as education minister, while Joe Szakacs has been appointed minister for infrastructure and transport.

Emily Bourke, the former infrastructure and transport minister, will now hold the portfolios of tourism and environment, climate and water.

The ceremony also involved Malinauskas abolishing stamp duty for those aged 60 or older who are downsizing to a newly-built home or apartment.

The Liberal shadow cabinet is expected to be unveiled next week.
