Tsitsipas brothers come out victorious in Antwerp

Siblings Stefanos and Petros Tsitsipas have won their maiden men’s doubles final in the European Open at Antwerp.

This was the first time the brothers played in the finals together. They beat Ariel Behar and Adam Pavlasek 6-7 (5), 6-4, 10-8.

In the 1 hour and 35 minute match, the Tsitsipas brothers’ first championship point followed Stefanos serving and then Petros ending the point with a smash from the net to make the final 10-8. 

The win was Petros’ first ever ATP doubles final, marking a significant achievement in his tennis career. He is now set to receive No.81 ranking in the Top 100 for tennis.

The tennis duo aim to qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris next year.
