Greek Orthodox Community of NSW to hold elections in November

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for members of the Greek Orthodox Community of New South Wales (GOCNSW) took place on Sunday, 8 October 2023 at the Community’s club in Lakemba.

The meeting commenced at 2.15pm. There were 72 registered members in attendance and they were all provided with the Community’s financials. Explanatory questions and answers were also given out.

In accordance with the Constitution of the Association, a new Board of Directors is elected every two years. The date for the election was set for November 26, 2023.

The members also elected Mrs Rena Drossou as President of the Election Committee. The following six people were nominated for the other members of the Electoral Committee: Christos Georgopoulos, Michael Tsilimos, Michalis Tselios, Christos Terzis, Panagiotis Tsigounis and Eleni Synodinou.
