The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Cretan Federation of Australia and New Zealand was held on Saturday, January 3, at the conference rooms of the Branksome Hotel in Mascot, Sydney, bringing together representatives from every member organisation of the Federation.

In keeping with tradition, proceedings commenced with an Agiasmo blessing, conducted by His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.

Addressing delegates, His Eminence warmly welcomed participants to Sydney and congratulated both the Cretan Association of Sydney and New South Wales, as host of the 44th National Cretan Federation Convention, and the Cretan Federation for their ongoing work.

His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia conducted an Agiasmos service at the AGM.

Following the blessing, formal reports were presented by Federation President Emmanuel Mountakis, Secretary Sophia Komarkowski, and Treasurer Emmanuel Vitetzakis, outlining the Federation’s activities and operations over the past year.
