Greece ranks fifth highest in Europe for short-term rental prices

·

Greece has become the fifth most expensive destination in Europe for short-term rentals, with the average nightly rate reaching 250 euros during July and August 2025, according to ekathimerini.com.

According to data from AirDNA, only Monaco, Iceland, Great Britain, and Spain have higher average prices. On Greece’s popular islands, rental costs have surged dramatically, with prices hitting €750 per night on Mykonos, €493 on Antiparos, and €380 on Paros.

Other notable rates include Spetses at €371 per night and Santorini (pictured), which rounds out the top five with an average of €362.

Interestingly, booking trends reveal that islands with lower prices, such as Skiathos and Zakynthos, experience significantly higher occupancy rates.
