NSW Labor Leader visits the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia

The NSW Labor Leader, Chris Minns MP, visited the offices of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia (GOAA) in Redfern, Sydney on Friday, December 2.

Mr Minns was accompanied by the NSW Shadow Minister for Multiculturalism and Member for Rockdale, Steve Kamper MP.

At the offices of the GOAA, Mr Minns and Mr Kamper met with Archbishop Makarios of Australia and discussed topics of interest to the Greek diaspora.

In a statement to The Greek Herald, Mr Minns said it was ‘great’ to meet with the head of the Greek Orthodox Church and he looks forward to further discussions.

“It was great to meet with Archbishop Makarios and engage in respectful discussions about issues concerning the Greek Orthodox Community,” Mr Minns said.

“The Greek Orthodox community makes an invaluable contribution to New South Wales, and we will continue to engage in fruitful discussions them.”
