Australians of Greek heritage named on the NSW rich list

In Australia, 38 percent of the richest people live in New South Wales and among them are three Australians of Greek heritage.

According to The Daily Telegraph, they are Nick Politis, Theo Karedis and Nicholas Paspaley.

16 – Nick Politis

Nick Politis, born on the Greek island of Kythera has made his millions through the motor vehicle industry.

He owns a total of 70.26 million shares in Eagers Automotive or a stake of 26.3 percent, making him the largest shareholder in the ASX-listed company.

42 – Theo Karedis and family

Theo Karedis is the co-founder of Theo’s Liquor and Arkadia Property Group. Karedis has a fortune of $1.14 billion, up from $1.13 billion in 2021.

The Karedis family wealth stems from Theo’s chain of bottle shops sold to Coles in 2002.

43 – Nicholas Paspaley and family

Nicholas Paspaley is the Executive Chairman of the Paspaley Group of Companies.

The Paspaley family own businesses in the pearl retail business, an aviation and marine services division, pastoral and tourism holdings, and a property portfolio. Today, Paspaley is the world’s most important producer of cultured pearls.
