Krama Brass Band enchants guests at Cyprus EU Presidency event in Canberra

The High Commission of the Republic of Cyprus in Australia held a cultural event on Tuesday, February 10 at the Hellenic Club of Canberra’s main function hall, dedicated to the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Cyprus, eight young professional musicians from the Krama Brass Band travelled to Australia for the occasion.

Guests were treated to well-known Cypriot melodies and original compositions influenced by the Middle East, Europe and America, which “literally enchanted” attendees.

The event was attended by the High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus in Australia, Antonis Sammoutis, EU Ambassador to Australia Gabriele Visentin, ambassadors of EU Member States, other foreign ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, community representatives and Australian friends of Cyprus.
