2023 Greek Community Cup secures teams for quarter final

The group stage in three of the four groups of the first soccer Greek Community Cup was completed on Saturday and hosted at the football facilities of the Greek Cypriot club Mill Park SC. 

Organised by the Greek Community of Melbourne, seven teams secured qualification to the quarter-final stage and only one team remains from the 4th Group whose matches will be completed next Wednesday.

The top two teams from each group advanced to the knockout phase of the “8”.

Those who qualified for the “8” include Hellas Melbourne, Olympiakos (East Kew), Alexandros, West Preston, Oakley, Mill Park, and Pythagoras (Box Hill). 

The final match for quarter-final qualifications will be held on Wednesday, January 25: Clarinda (Kingston City) v Bentleigh Cobras 7pm Mill Park SC – Field 1.

Hellas Melbournis (South Melbourne Hellas fc) – Olympiakos (East Kew) 3 -1

2nd Group

West Preston – Malvern City 2-0
