Akylas to represent Greece at Eurovision 2026

·

Akylas has won Greece’s revamped national final Sing For Greece 2026 with his song Ferto, earning the right to represent the country at Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna this May.

The final featured 14 songs, with results decided by a 50 per cent public televote, 25 per cent Greek jury and 25 per cent international jury.

Twenty-eight entries competed across two semi-finals, decided entirely by public voting, with international viewers allowed to vote for the first time.

The show marked a major revamp of Greece’s national selection and was hosted by Giorgos Kapoutzidis, Betty Maggira and Katerina Vrana.

Akylas became emotional after his win, thanking the audience and noting that his mother was present.

Greece will now look to build on its recent Eurovision resurgence following a sixth-place finish in 2025.
