Derrimut founder Nikolaos Solomos faces fresh legal action over alleged debts

·

Derrimut 24:7 Gym founder Nikolaos Solomos is facing new legal pressure, with wholesaler Del-Re National Food Group launching action in the County Court of Victoria over more than $140,000 in alleged unpaid debts linked to his Derrimut Nutrition Bar business.

Court documents show Del-Re began supplying products on credit in August 2023, with the nutrition bar chain purchasing $117,874 worth of goods between November and January.

The wholesaler claims repeated payment demands were ignored, forcing them to hire debt collectors at a further cost of $16,962, bringing the alleged debt to $141,037 including interest.

The case adds to the troubles surrounding Solomos’ fitness empire, with the ATO pursuing Derrimut 24:7 Gym over a $12.53 million debt and several branches across Victoria and South Australia abruptly closing.

Solomos, known for his strong social media presence and luxury car collection, has previously dismissed concerns about the chain’s future, insisting Derrimut still serves 230,000 members across 25 gyms and is expanding staff numbers.

A separate ATO court hearing into the gym’s financial future has been adjourned to October 10.
