Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis joined video conferences with his EU counterparts on Tuesday, August 19, to review recent discussions in Washington on the war in Ukraine.
The first meeting was held with European Union leaders, followed by a session with the European People’s Party.
Mitsotakis stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire and voiced support for the US proposal for security guarantees. He also reaffirmed Greece’s position on the inviolability of borders.
A positive outcome from Monday’s talks, he noted, was the prospect of a potential meeting between the presidents of Ukraine and Russia.
