Captain Roy O’Donovan plays last match for Sydney Olympic FC

Sydney Olympic FC’s round 30 fixture against Sydney FC marked the last match for Roy O’Donovan in the team’s blue and white.

First joining the club ahead of the 2022 NPL Men’s NSW season, O’Donovan has now left the club as captain.

In his time sporting number 99, O’Donovan won the NPL Men’s NSW Golden Boot in 2022 and scored 60 club goals.

Sydney FC defeated Sydney Olympic 2-1 in the last round of the NPL men’s NSW season, managing to avoid relegation and stay in the top flight.
