Royalty attend Prince Michael of Greece’s funeral in Athens

The Greek royal family gathered in Athens, Greece on Thursday, August 1 to attend the funeral of Prince Michael of Greece and Denmark.

Prince Michael was Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh’s first cousin. He passed away this week in an Athens hospital at the age of 85.

His funeral service was held at Saint Theodore Church in Athens, and he will be buried at the Tatoi Royal Cemetery, where King Constantine was also laid to rest last year.

Among those in attendance at the funeral were Queen Anne-Marie, Crown Prince Pavlos, and Princess Marie-Chantal, along with Michael’s wife, Marina Karella, and their daughters, Princess Olga and Princess Alexandra.
