Hollywood actress Monica Bellucci expresses love for Greece during Thessaloniki visit

Hollywood actress Monica Bellucci has expressed her love for Greece as she attended the 64th Thessaloniki Film Festival on Wednesday.

During her visit, the actress has been seen admiring the beauty of the city, whilst also attending two film screenings for her upcoming movies titled ‘Maria Callas: Letter and Memories’ and ‘Malena’.  

At the event, Bellucci also received an honorary Golden Alexander award for her lifetime achievement and was acknowledged for playing in two films based on women who are trying to survive in a man’s world.

During the press conference, Bellucci noted the great honour and gratitude she had in playing the Greek singer Callas and expressed the importance of being accepted by the Greek public.

Bellucci has also been spotted in renowned restaurants in the city centre and was shown the picturesque sea-view of the Thermaikos Gulf by the Thessaloniki Mayor Konstandinos Zervas.
