Kostas Tsimikas signs new long-term contract with Liverpool FC

·

Kostas Tsimikas signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool FC on Monday, extending his stay with the club he joined from Olympiacos in August 2020.

The left-back told Liverpoolfc.com: “I feel very glad to be here to extend my contract. I feel like all the sacrifices I did and other things, the work I put in, [that] everything pays off.”

“I think this team has very big potential to win more trophies and we will go for it,” Tsimikas added.

Tsimikas, who is affectionately known by supporters as the ‘Greek Scouser,’ has made 63 appearances and provided 12 assists since signing for Liverpool.

The Greece international helped seal the Reds’ Emirates FA Cup final victory against Chelsea in 2022, as well as the club’s victory in the 2021-22 Carabao Cup.
