Justice for Cyprus Co-ordinating Committee in NSW hold fundraising luncheon

The Justice for Cyprus Co-ordinating Committee (SEKA NSW) held a fundraising luncheon on Sunday, July 16 at The Cyprus Community Club in Stanmore, Sydney.

The raised proceeds went towards commemoration events for the 49th anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus.

In attendance at the luncheon were the Co-Presidents of SEKA NSW, Christos Koulinos and Dr Miranda Adamou, as well as the president of the Cypriot Community of NSW, Andrew Costa. Panikos Achilleos, President of the Greek Cypriot Club, also attended the fundraiser.

Filmmaker Kay Pavlou also spoke about her documentary Cyprus: A people divided, which was screened at the event.

“I would like to thank all those present for their support and generosity,” Dr Miranda Adamou said in a statement to The Greek Herald.

SEKA NSW has organised a full program of events to commemorate the anniversary on Sunday, July 23.
