Sydney Olympic FC progress to next round of the Australia Cup

Sydney Olympic FC advanced to the round of 8 of the Australian Cup qualifiers after a comfortable 3-0 win over South Coast Flame FC on Tuesday at Belmore Sports Ground.

Sydney Olympic are one step away from qualifying for the quarter finals of the NSW group which will automatically give them the qualification for the ‘top 32’ of the Australian Cup where the A-League teams will also participate.

The blue and whites didn’t create many big chances in the first half, but came out much stronger in the second half to secure a win 3-0. Michael Vakis and Hagi Gligor scored.

This victory comes as Canberra Olympic also claimed victory in their match against Belconnen United.
