St Spyridon College students shine at 2026 da Vinci Decathlon

·

Students from St Spyridon College took part in the 2026 da Vinci Decathlon at Knox Grammar School, with selected participants from Years 5 to 11 competing in the academic event designed to challenge students across a wide range of disciplines through team-based problem solving and critical thinking tasks.

The da Vinci Decathlon, hosted annually, brings together high-achieving students from across Australia to compete in intensive academic challenges that test creativity, logic, collaboration and depth of knowledge across multiple subject areas.

Working in teams of eight, students were challenged across 10 disciplines including engineering, mathematics, code breaking, science, English, ideation, art and poetry, cartography, creative producers and legacy.

The school’s strongest result came from its Year 5 team, which placed first among 80 schools in the Legacy component, recognised for its depth of understanding in history, culture and general knowledge.

The college congratulated all students involved, commending their performance and effort, and said it looks forward to the next edition of the competition.
