Oakleigh Grammar students shine in Certificate of Attainment in Greek

·

Oakleigh Grammar has celebrated the outstanding success of 12 dedicated students who recently undertook the Certificate of Attainment in Greek (Πιστοποιητικό Ελληνομάθειας) examinations.

This internationally recognised certification, issued by the Centre for the Greek Language in Thessaloniki, Greece, affirms proficiency in the Greek language and is endorsed by both the Greek State and the European Union.

Under the guidance of Natasha Spanos, Hellenic Culture Coordinator and Academic Leader – LOTE, students sat exams across a range of levels – from A1 to C1. Every student passed with flying colours, achieving exceptional results that reflect not only their linguistic skill but also their heartfelt connection to Hellenic heritage.

“Their success is a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and love for the Greek language,” Mrs Spanos said. “It’s inspiring to see our students embrace their cultural identity with such pride and dedication.”

The Certificate of Attainment in Greek assesses students’ abilities in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. It provides a valuable credential for future academic and professional pathways, while also formally recognising second language proficiency.

At Oakleigh Grammar academia is strongly supported by the School’s Hellenic culture and strength of its Greek language program. The outstanding achievement of these students in the Certificate of Attainment in Greek is testament not only to their dedication to their studies, but to the strong academic culture cultivated by the leadership and staff at Oakleigh Grammar.

These accomplishments reflect the vibrancy of Oakleigh Grammar’s multicultural community, home to students from over 40 different cultural backgrounds, and speaks to the heart of its devotion to developing globally minded students who honour their roots while changing the world.
