Rose and Jim Chronis’ Dulwich Hill Chicken Shop named in Sydney’s Good Food guide

·

Good Food magazine has released its legendary guide to Sydney’s best takeaway chicken and on this year’s list is Rose and Jim Chronis’ Dulwich Hill Chicken Shop.

The chicken shop in Sydney’s inner west has been operating for 34 years after it was opened by Jim’s parents, John and Dafni.

According to Good Food, Jim and Rose took over the shop about seven years ago but they stayed true to the art of cooking over charcoal instead of rotisserie ovens.

Rose said “charcoal chicken is a dying art” but they continue to use the cooking method because “you can taste the flavour.”

The pair also continue to use a secret family recipe to season their fresh chickens and it is because of this that there is no doubt you are getting good quality food when you visit the shop.
