The annual Greek Orthodox Community of NSW’s (GOCNSW) Kids Taverna Night on Friday, August 29, at the Greek Community Club on 206-210 Lakemba St, Lakemba proved to be a resounding success, bringing together families, friends, and community members for an unforgettable celebration of Greek culture.

The event also served as an important fundraiser in support of the GOCNSW Afternoon and Saturday Schools, helping to maintain and sustain the Greek language for current and future generations.

From kindy through to high school, students lit up the stage with extraordinary performances of traditional Greek dancing, under the dedicated guidance of Paroula Thurban. Their energy, precision, and pride in keeping traditions alive drew enthusiastic applause and heartfelt praise from parents and guests alike.
