Faith in action as Kogarah Greek Orthodox Parish delivers toys to kids in need this Christmas

·

The Greek Orthodox Parish and Community of Kogarah has launched its annual Christmas Toy Distribution, bringing festive cheer to children and families in need across Sydney.

His Grace Bishop Christodoulos, alongside Fr Athanasios Giatsios, parish members, and youth volunteers, have this week delivered hundreds of toys and Christmas hampers prepared by the Kogarah Philoptochos to Sydney Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House in Randwick, and local schools, including St George School and Cairnsfoot School, supporting children with special needs.

The initiative also reached Kogarah Storehouse and several local charities, including the Holy Apostles Church in Newcastle, Pantry for the People, and Lou’s Place, providing toys, hampers, and care packages to families and women experiencing hardship.

Bishop Christodoulos and parish leaders expressed deep gratitude to donors, sponsors, and volunteers, noting that their generosity reflects the true spirit of Christmas by spreading hope, joy, and comfort throughout the community.
