Zorba in the Park brings Greek music and dance to Camberwell

·

Melbourne’s Summer in the Park festival continues on Friday, February 13, with Zorba in the Park, a free, family-friendly evening celebrating Greek music, dance and community at the Camberwell Civic Precinct.

Running from 5pm to 8pm, the event will feature popular Greek ensemble Estudiantina of Melbourne, bringing Mediterranean sounds to the outdoor festival hub. A free Greek dancing class will begin at 5:30pm, followed by the band’s live performance from 6pm.

Visitors can also take part in the Slow Art Collective installation, weaving their own contribution into the evolving artwork, and enjoy an EV-powered sausage sizzle hosted by Electrify Boroondara, with volunteers on hand to discuss electric lifestyle options.

The event is open to all ages and welcomes picnics and BYO food and drinks.

Organisers advise that animals should be left at home and note a zero-tolerance policy for anti-social behaviour. In case of severe weather, updates will be provided online.

Zorba in the Park takes place at the Camberwell Civic Precinct on Camberwell Road, easily accessible by bus and tram, with street parking available nearby.
