THOC visited Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne on their tour and performed the play ‘Makrykostaioi & Kontogiorgides.’ The play is a comedy from the 1960s and is about two men, Stelios Kondogiorgis and Thomas Makrykostas.

On Wednesday, May 10, the play was performed in Brisbane with the President of the Cyprus Community of Queensland, Stathi Zambas, present. Mr Zambas praised the historical significance of hosting THOC and the eagerness of the local Greek community to experience this cultural connection.

In Adelaide, a number of distinguished guests watched the play. This included the Consul of Greece in Adelaide, George Psiarchas; SA Minister for Arts, Andrea Michaels MP; Irene Pnevmatikos MLC; Connie Bonaros MLC; Stavros Nikolaou, representing the High Commission of the Republic of Cyprus in Australia; and the President of the Cypriot Community of South Australia, Andreas Evdokiou.

The final stop was in Melbourne, where the THOC community collaborated with local Cypriot communities. Many official guests attended the performance, including Theo Theophanous, President of the Cyprus Community of Melbourne and Victoria.
