Kalavryton Society in NSW mark Greek Independence Day with annual dance

The Kalavryton Society ‘Aghia Lavra’ in New South Wales celebrated Greek Independence Day and its 59th anniversary with a dinner dance on Saturday, March 19.

The annual dance was held at the Ashbury Bowling and Panarcadian Club in the Sydney suburb of Ashbury from 12.30pm.

There were a number of official guests including the Press Counsellor at the Consulate of Greece in Sydney, Costas Giannakodimos, as well as many other Presidents of local Greek organisations.

On the day, guests enjoyed a sit-down meal whilst watching dancing performances by Paroula’s Greek Dancing group and listening to music by Kostas Zafeiropoulos. There was also a raffle.
