Students from Greek Community of Melbourne schools excel in 2022 VCE exams

The students of the Greek Community of Melbourne Schools have excelled in Modern Greek in this year’s VCE exams.

For the second year in a row, the school holds first place in the state of Victoria with the performance of the student, Sofia Linardou, who achieved a raw study score of 50/50.

The students, Eirini Vergaki, with a score of 49/50, and Georgia Linardou, with a score of 46/50, also excelled and scored an enthusiastically high performance, without the scaling.  

20 percent of the students scored above 40+/50, while the 50 percent scored above 37+/50 and 78 percent above 29+/50.

On a state basis, the 67.9 percent in the written exams scored 9.2 percent above the average score for the state of Victoria, while in the oral exams 87.5 percent exceeded the average overall score for the State of Victoria by 5.1 percent.

The performance of the Community’s Classical Greek students was also very good, given the difficulty of the Classical Greek subject; 5 out of 8 students achieved a study score of 30 and above (30, 31, 32, 36, 37) after scaling.
