Consul General of Greece to Sydney meets with NSW Governor

·

The Consul General of Greece to Sydney, Ioannis Mallikourtis, met with Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley, Governor of New South Wales, on Tuesday at Government House.

The meeting was also attended by Mr Mallikourtis’ wife Christiana Stavrou and Mr Dennis Wilson, and came in light of the Consul General’s recent assumption of his duties.

Mr Mallikourtis was first appointed to his role as Consul General in Sydney a month ago after his four-year term in Cyprus came to an end.

Since arriving in Sydney, he has had a chance to connect with local Greek community organisations and advocates for maintaining the Greek language for future generations.
