Boxer Terry Nickolas granted strict bail after Operation Ironside arrest

·

Professional boxer, Terry Nickolas, has been granted home detention bail in the Adelaide Magistrates Court after he was arrested last week in relation to Operation Ironside.

According to The Advertiser, Mr Nickolas was charged with manufacturing a large commercial quantity of methamphetamine.

He is the 10th person charged after the police discovered an industrial-sized clandestine lab hidden in a Morphett Vale house on August 18, 2020.

The court heard Mr Nickolas was facing the possibility of further charges being laid – both in Adelaide and Sydney.

Lawyer, Harry Patsouris, asked the court to release Mr Nickolas under strict home detention conditions. The prosecutor was not opposed to the proposal.

Mr Nickolas will next appear in court again in August.

Mr Nickolas recently fought on the undercard of the highly publicised Kambosos-Haney fight at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne last month.
