‘Heartwarming support’: SA foundation raises over $65,000 for Ukrainian refugees

·

The Advertiser Foundation has already raised over $65,000 as part of its Emergency South Australian Ukrainian appeal, The Advertiser has reported.

The Executive Director of the Foundation, Alex Dimos, said the Ukrainian appeal was about helping “Ukrainian families and, in particular, the children from Ukraine that are arriving in SA.”

“These families and the children from these families, arrive with very little,” Ms Dimos added. “The support we have received from the South Australian community has been heartwarming.”

Donations to the appeal have come from individuals and corporates moved by the pictures of suffering seen in the media every day since Russian forces invaded Ukraine on February 24.
