Victoria Police investigate salesman Nick Tsekoutanis after allegedly harassing businesses

·

Door-to-door salesman Nick Tsekoutanis is being investigated by Victoria Police after allegedly harassing small business owners across Australia for the past few years.

Tsekoutanis is facing widespread backlash after footage of him went viral online. A Current Affair was told that Tsekoutanis enters employee-only areas at small businesses and tries to sell vouchers for car servicing.

Mikaela Borg told A Current Affair that Tsekoutanis walked into her warehouse when she was working alone. When Borg demanded he leave, the situation escalated.

“He started getting up in my face and started to swear at me and insisting to go upstairs into my private office area,” she said. “All I remember telling him is ‘get out.’ He said to me he wasn’t going to leave until he checked upstairs.”

Borg’s doorbell camera showed footage of Tsekoutanis shouting at her to “jump in the lake” as he left.

Dozens of people have started to post warnings online documenting their own experiences with Tsekoutanis’ aggressive sales tactics across multiple states.

Tsekoutanis refused to be interviewed by A Current Affair and has allegedly gone into “hiding.”

Victoria Police has confirmed that Tsekoutanis was recently interviewed following a formal complaint from a Melbourne business owner. He was released and officers are set to investigate further.
