White Fox founders Georgia and Daniel Contos debut on Australia’s Richest 250 list

·

White Fox founders and Sydney-based Greek Australians Georgia and Daniel Contos have debuted on the Richest 250 list with an estimated combined net worth of $1.42 billion.

Despite building Australia’s teen fashion sensation brand, the couple, both in their mid-30s, have maintained their privacy and have not spoken to the media on the record for several years and declined to comment on their inclusion in the Richest 250.

Recent controversy has placed the pair under regulatory scrutiny for failing to lodge mandatory financial statements with ASIC, a factor that may explain their reluctance to speak publicly.

The Contos’ built White Fox from a 2013 garage startup into a global digital-first brand, leveraging influencer marketing and social media to reach millions of followers.

Beyond fashion, they are also behind of one of Chemist Warehouse’s top-selling self-tanning products, the Baddest Bod, which they launched in 2022. Under the White Fox banner, they have also now launched sportswear offshoot White Fox Active. Their brand aesthetic has attracted high-profile influencers, including Hailey Bieber and Emily Ratajkowski.

The company now has an estimated $500 million-plus revenue and has experienced rapid global expansion.

The business remains privately owned, with no external investors apart from Daniel Contos’ mother, Melina Maceri.

The couple has also made significant property investments, purchasing five properties in Sydney’s harbourside suburb of Vaucluse, with a combined value of around $150 million. Most of the existing buildings have been demolished to build their Casa Del Sol, a project expected to cost a further $25 million.
