Manchester United have reportedly submitted a €28 million bid for Olympiacos sensation Christos Mouzakitis, though the Greek club are said to value the 18-year-old closer to €40m.
The low offer has opened the door for rival interest from Real Madrid, Arsenal and Brighton, all of whom have been tracking the midfielder’s rapid rise.
Mouzakitis enjoyed a breakout season in Greece, winning Tuttosport’s Golden Boy Web Award with more than a million votes and finishing ahead of high-profile talents such as Arda Güler and Jobe Bellingham. A former goalkeeper, he has impressed with his composure, athleticism and defensive intelligence.
The teenager was instrumental in helping Olympiacos win the UEFA Youth League in 2024 – the first European trophy ever won by a Greek club at youth level – before the senior team went on to secure the Europa Conference League title.
His performances have attracted significant European attention, including admiration from Xabi Alonso after a standout 90-minute display against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
United and Chelsea scouts reportedly monitored that match closely, while Arsenal are believed to be weighing up their midfield options for the summer window. Brighton, who signed fellow Olympiacos academy graduate Babis Kostoulas last year for nearly £30m, also remain interested.
