The 30th Greek Film Festival of Sydney, proudly presented by Benchmark Greek Law, has announced its historic expansion into Sydney’s west thanks to a special collaboration with Riverside Theatres in Parramatta.
This marks the first time in the festival’s three-decade history that it will bring its cinematic celebration to this vibrant and growing community.
The festival will kick off at Riverside Theatres on Thursday, October 16, with a special Metaxa Cocktail Opening Night Event. Attendees will be treated to the highly anticipated film, Kapetan Mihalis, directed by Kostas Haralambous and based on Nikos Kazantzakis’s iconic novel.
This special evening promises to be a memorable celebration of Greek culture and cinema. The 30th Greek Film Festival is determined to make its presence embraced by new audiences who will now have the opportunity to experience its magic in a new, exciting location!
A curated lineup of 15 films has been selected to entertain new audiences in the west. This diverse program includes the best from the festival’s 30th anniversary retrospective, along with a great selection of current Greek productions and family-friendly films.
