Path to glory: Round of 16 fixtures set for Australia Cup 2025

·

The fixtures for the Hahn Australia Cup 2025 Round of 16 have been revealed following the Official Draw on Wednesday, July 30.

The live draw undertaken by former Subway Socceroo and 2017 Hahn Australia Cup winner, Luke Wilkshire – has delivered several exciting match ups, including six Member Federation and Isuzu UTE A-League Men clashes.

South Melbourne FC will host Hahn Australia Cup newcomers Auckland FC in the first of four matches heading to Victoria. Avondale FC will face off against APIA Leichhardt who just completed the second ‘Cupset’ of the 2025 Hahn Australia Cup by downing the reigning Isuzu UTE A-League Champions, Melbourne City FC.

Brisbane City FC will welcome Western Australian side Olympic Kingsway FC who also are buoyed by successfully pulling off a ‘Cupset’ in the Round of 32. Heidelberg United FC will host Western Sydney Wanderers FC before Nunawading City FC looks to continue their dream cup run against Wellington Phoenix FC.

An all-Sydney showdown will take place when Sydney United 58 FC hosts Sydney FC before an all-Newcastle showdown between Cooks Hill United FC and Newcastle Jets FC. Reigning Hahn Australia Cup Champions Macarthur FC will continue their mission of back-to-back titles when they travel to South Australia to take on the high-flying MetroStars.

In all, the Round of 16 will feature ten Member Federation sides representing four states and six Isuzu UTE A-League Men sides vying to be crowned winner of Australia’s largest annual knockout sporting competition.

The Draw for both the Quarter Finals (QF) and Semi Finals (SF) were also conducted immediately following the Draw for the Round of 16, meaning clubs can now map their path and opponents all the way to the Cup Final.

A Member Federation side is guaranteed to advance as far as the Semi-Finals with some intriguing Quarter Final matches loom on the horizon.

The Hahn Australia Cup 2025 Round of 16 will be played over four days from 9-13 August 2025.

It’s anticipated that venues, dates and timings for the Round of 16 will be made available week commencing 4 August, as Football Australia works with participating clubs and Member Federations to navigate ground availability.
