Applications opening soon for GCM’s 2025 Greek Summer Camp

·

The Greek Community of Melbourne (GCM) has announced the return of the Greek Summer Camp as part of its 2025 cultural programs.

In partnership with the Consulate General of Greece in Melbourne and the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the camp will run from 11 to 20 July 2025 and offer participants the opportunity to visit some of Greece’s most famous cities such as Athens, Thessaloniki and Kavala.

The program aims to strengthen participants connection to their cultural identity through guided tours, cultural workshops, and educational activities.

Youth have always enjoyed the Greek Summer Camp program.

The GCM has run a camp program in conjunction with the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2022, sending over 80 students to Greece.

GCM Board Member Tass Sgardelis shared, “I would highly recommend the experience for any young Greek Australian passionate about their heritage. You will make lifelong friends, immerse yourself in your heritage, and have an amazing time exploring Greece.”

The GCM is looking for 11 young Australians of Greek descent, aged between 18-25 years of age, to be part of this amazing program. Applications will be opening in the next week.
