Ambassador Alison Duncan discusses Greece-Australia ties with Pavlos Marinakis

Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister of Greece, Pavlos Marinakis, recently met with the Australian Ambassador to Greece, Alison Duncan, highlighting the important role of the Greek diaspora in Australia as a vital connection between the two nations.

Following their meeting, Marinakis remarked, “Australia has a living Greek ‘cell’ far from home,” underscoring the strong cultural bond between Greece and Australia.

The discussion focused on enhancing trade relations, exploring opportunities in areas of mutual interest, and how both countries could work together to address common challenges.

They also exchanged views on fire protection strategies, a pressing issue for both nations.

Marinakis and Ambassador Duncan’s talks reflect a continued commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and fostering collaboration on key issues affecting both Greece and Australia.
