Gerapetritis hails Fragogiannis at Foreign Ministry in handover ceremony

In a handover ceremony on Monday, January 20, outgoing Greek Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Kostas Fragogiannis passed the baton to Tasos Chatzivasileiou, MP and advisor on International Affairs to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis praised Fragogiannis for his exceptional intelligence, expertise, and dedication, noting that he played a pivotal role in shaping Greece’s economic diplomacy.

“With the initiative of Prime Minister Mitsotakis, Economic Diplomacy and Extroversion became a major pillar of Greek diplomacy and foreign policy,” Gerapetritis said.

He highlighted Fragogiannis’ significant contributions to increasing Foreign Direct Investment and boosting Greece’s exports.

On Chatzivasileiou, Gerapetritis expressed confidence in his knowledge of foreign policy and his ability to further advance the work started by Fragogiannis.
