Greek Orthodox Community of Canberra elect new Executive Committee

The Greek Orthodox Community & Church of Canberra (GOCCC) has elected its new Executive Committee at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday, November 19.

At the AGM, Pana Tsironis was elected the new President of the GOCCC. He will take over from outgoing President and current Director at the Hellenic Club of Canberra, John Loukadellis.

When standing down, Mr Loukadellis thanked Community members for their support and said he was very proud of representing Canberra’s Greek community.

Also elected to the Executive Committee at the AGM were Vice President Harry Kay, Treasurer Yvonne Varela, and Secretary Theodore Leonidas Merkoureas.

Committee members are Leon Mack, Dimitris Saragas and George Persinidis.
