Greece’s Prime Minister cancels trip to Israel

Greece’s Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, has cancelled his trip to Israel, which was originally scheduled to take place on Thursday, 19 October.

According to Ekathimerini, this decision comes due to security concerns, especially amidst the ongoing Hamas and Israel conflict.

The conflict is now into its 13th day.

Mitsotakis had previously announced his plans to visit the region whilst the European Council’s extraordinary teleconference on developments in the Middle East took place.
