Oakleigh named among top 50 liveable suburbs in Melbourne

A recent survey has revealed the Greek-populated suburb of Oakleigh is among the top liveable suburbs in south-east Melbourne.

South-east Melbourne’s Top 50 suburbs range from inner-city locations, family-friendly neighbourhoods and outer growth suburbs.

The Herald Sun shared that Oakleigh was ranked number 12 in the top 50.

Oakleigh is most known for its multicultural environment that has a population of 35,000 Greeks.

It is well-known for some of its Greek favourites at Eaton Mall including Nikos Cakes, Vanilla, Mythos Gyros Bar, Melissa, Meat me, Kentro and many more.

The suburb is located 14 km south-east of Melbourne’s CBD and is situated near Chadstone Shopping Centre, Monash University and Monash Medical Centre.

It is also known for its football teams, golf club and leisure centre.
