Cypriot Australian Silia Kapsis to represent Cyprus at Eurovision 2024

Silia Kapsis is set to represent Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo next May.

Silia is a singer of Cypriot and Greek descent, born and raised in Sydney, Australia, who has already made waves across the entertainment industry. 

The Sydneysider has been lead singer for the Australian Youth Performing Arts Company (AYPAC) and a recurrent lead singer at numerous high-profile events worldwide.

In 2022, Silia released a debut song, Who Am I?, which she had written and composed at the age of 12. The next singles, No Boys Allowed and Disco Dancer, followed in March and May of 2023 with a new single expected before 2024.

Silia was also cast as the lead role, Zoe, in her debut short film, Pearly Gates, and has worked on various television projects for Nickelodeon, appearing as a regular host on Nick News.

Details of her Silia’s song for Eurovision will be released in due course.

Cyprus holds the record for the most times participating in the Eurovision Song Contest without winning. Their best placing came in 2018 when Eleni Foureira finished second with Fuego.
