Greece secures victory against Kosovo in UEFA Nations League second round

·

Greece has claimed its second victory in the UEFA Nations League after defeating Kosovo 1-0 at Pristina on Sunday.

The Greek team had a number of changes this time as Rota, Bouhalakis and Siopis remained on the bench, while Baldock, Kourbelis and Masouras started.

Tassos Bakasetas scored for Greece in the 36th minute of the match after an assist by Petros Mandalos.

The second half of the match started with Greece close to having a goal in the 53rd minute. From Masura’s cross from the left, the ball took a strange trajectory and stopped at the horizontal bar of Mouric, who seemed to be surprised.

Ten minutes later, Greece came very close to the second goal, but Mouric deflected Baldock very close.

In the end, Greece defeated Kosovo again, as it had done in September 2020 and again away from home, then 2-1. Greece will next face Cyprus on June 10.
