Zarax Association of NSW brings community together for New Year’s Eve event in Sydney

The Zarax Association of NSW welcomed the New Year with a vibrant community celebration on New Year’s Eve at the Zarax Cultural Centre in Sydney, bringing together approximately 140 members and guests for an evening of music, dancing and shared meals.

The event reflected the strong sense of unity and fellowship that defines the Zarax community, with festivities continuing into the early hours of the morning in a warm and celebratory atmosphere.

During the evening, a brief acknowledgement was also made to mark 90 years since the birth of Antonis Lafkas, a long-serving former board member of the Association, recognising his contribution and long-standing connection to the community.

Addressing attendees, the President of the Association, Tasos Kokoris, extended New Year wishes to members and friends, emphasising the importance of coming together as a community and maintaining strong cultural and social ties.

The celebration concluded with dancing, laughter and well-wishes for the year ahead, reinforcing the camaraderie and solidarity that continue to underpin the work and spirit of the Zarax Association of NSW.
