Pontoxeniteas NSW elect new committee at Annual General Meeting

Pontian Association of NSW Pontoxeniteas elected a new committee at their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday, November 27 2022.

During the AGM, executive committee members delivered the complete copy of an updated Constitution and announced a change of name for the association from United Pontian Benevolent Brotherhood Pontoxeniteas NSW to Pontian Association of NSW Pontoxeniteas.

Pontoxeniteas NSW President, Maria Anthony, commended the committee for their dedication and hard work in making such a change after 46 years.

“Congratulations to the committee for this achievement. After 46 years our constitution is updated with a change in our formal name of our Association,” Maria said in a Facebook post.

As part of the agenda, a new committee was elected for the upcoming 2023-2024 period. The new committee consists of:

  • President – Maria Anthony
  • Vice President – Savva Kyriakidis
  • Secretary – Poppy Tsouris
  • Assistant Secretary – Kiri Tsavdaridis
  • Treasure – Nena Lambousis
  • Assistant Treasure – Katerina Apostolidis
  • Commitee Member-Esta Paschalidis Chilas
  • Commitee Member – Athena Belogianis
  • Commitee Member – Despina Poniris Commitee Member – Sophie Karatasas
  • Committee Member – Mathew Papadopoulos

“Congratulations to the new elected committee for 2023 – 2024 wishing you all the best,” Ms Anthony concluded.
