Adding a powerful dimension to this anniversary celebration, the 30th Greek Film Festival will proudly include a special retrospective element. Audiences will have the unique opportunity to revisit some of the most beloved and critically acclaimed films previously presented throughout the festival’s illustrious history.

Amongst them the iconic family film “The Flea” that had the honour of opening the very first Greek Film Festival in Australia and will offer a cinematic journey down memory lane with a full-circle moment for three decades of cinematic excellence.

The festival will powerfully launch with its respective Opening Night Galas in both Sydney and Melbourne on Tuesday, October 14th, 2025. The highly anticipated opening night film, poised to set the tone for this significant anniversary year, will be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Building on the incredible success and growing demand of previous years, the 30th Greek Film Festival is proud to continue its expansion, reaching beyond Sydney and Melbourne. Additional Australian cities, including Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, and Perth, are finalising their screening dates for late October and early November 2025, ensuring that this momentous celebration resonates nationwide.
