Thanasi Kokkinakis sets up second round clash at Italian Open

Thanasis Kokkinakis not only entered the main draw of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Rome for the first time in his career, but also managed to qualify for the second round of the tournament on Wednesday.

The qualification came as his first round opponent, Jaume Munar, retired after the first set where Kokkinakis led 4-2.

The match was over in just 34 minutes. The No. 104 seed will now face No. 8 seed Jannik Sinner in the next round.
